New Jersey Public Health Transformation

New Jersey applied and was accepted as a member of the 21st Century Learning Collaborative (21C) in February 2022.  21C is a National cohort, including 23 state partners and is facilitated by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB).  The learning collaborative is a national network and learning collaborative including states working to advance statewide public health transformation.

PHAB provides facilitated virtual and in-person convenings to provide technical assistance, peer learning opportunities and subject matter expertise.

21C States, including New Jersey, participate in offered convenings, trainings, peer learning and networking events.  Peer learning is particularly valuable, as participating states have a variety of structures and have been doing this work for different amounts of time.

Costing Assessment

In 2025, NJACCHO initiated a process inviting local health departments in New Jersey to participate in an important project to quantify the resources available, as well as resource gaps in their operations.  NJACCHO thanks the health departments who participated in this important project!

The NJ Costing Assessment Report is available here.  Additional materials will be shared with public health partners soon.
