Holly Cucuzzella, DrPH, MPH, MCHES, HO
Dr. Cucuzzella is the Health Officer for Burlington County Health Department serving the 40 municipalities in Burlington County . She has worked for the Burlington County Health Department for over 21 years. Previous employments include the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Cucuzzella has experience working as a health educator, risk communicator, epidemiologist and clinical research coordinator.
In addition to her work at the Burlington County Health Department, she is adjunct faculty for Richard Stockton College of NJ, Walden University and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Her Bachelor degree in Biology and Immunology/Microbiology concentration was obtained at Virginia Tech. Her Masters of Public Health was received at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University with the Thesis: The Effect of HMG-CoA Reductase Inhibitors (Statins) on Bone Mineral Density. Most recently she attended Drexel University where she obtained her Doctorate of Public Health in Community Health and Prevention where her dissertation was: The Effect Of An Educational Outreach Visit On Immediately Reportable Communicable Disease Reporting Knowledge And Attitudes Among Healthcare Providers.
Dr. Cucuzzella is a member of the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO), the New Jersey Association of City and County Health Officials (NJACCHO), National Public Health Information Coalition and New Jersey Society for Public Health Education (NJSOPHE).
