OVERVIEW: NJACCHO Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Workgroup Forum is dedicated to fostering public health partnership and collaboration within the MCH community. This forum will serve as a platform to address and discuss challenges, exchange resources, and develop actionable strategies to improve health outcomes for mothers and children. By promoting innovative and collaborative public health efforts, the forum aims to advance the field of maternal and child health and strengthen community-wide impact.

1. Key Note Speaker: Tammy Snyder Murphy, First Lady of New Jersey
Tammy Murphy has been New Jersey’ First Lady since 2018 and is a dedicated advocate for maternal and child health, climate change, and women’s economic empowerment.
2. Acenda Integrated Health: Tracey Huggins, Nurse Family Partnership Supervisor
Acenda is a nonprofit integrated health care organization dedicated to world-class prevention, treatment and wellness services. Their mission is to compassionately deliver these services to ensure that every individual, family and community achieves their greatest potential.
3. Mamava: Paige Feeser and Suzie McKenna, Government Account Executive
For-Profit company created for mothers by mothers to transform the culture in breastfeeding.
4. NJDOH (Office of Women’s Health): Iris Jones, Executive Director
Protecting and strengthening the lives of women within the state of New Jersey by fostering healthy families and communities for all. The office of Women’s Health strives to improve health care quality through the promotion of evidence-based service delivery that priorities equity, accessibility, innovation and integration.
5. Southern Jersey Family Medical Center (SJFMC): Yoammy Pozo & Jessica Winterbottom, Director of Clinical Support Services
SJFMC is a nonprofit organization that offers comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare to underserved populations in Southern New Jersey.
6. Southern NJ Perinatal Cooperative (NJPC): Jennie Sherlock, Chief Clinical Officer and Emily Haines, Chief Nursing Officer (local level)
NJPC is a trusted source for maternal and infant health and community wellness that is focused on Health Pregnancies, Health Babies, Health Families, Health Communities based in South Jersey.
7. Women Infants and Children (WIC) is a successful public health nutrition program that provides wholesome food, nutrition education and community support for income eligible women who are pregnant or post-partum, infants, and children up to five years of age. o Alethea Wentz and Regina Becker WIC/Nutrition Program Coordinator
